  • How will you help my child to settle in?
    We offer up to 3 taster sessions and follow the lead of the parents and the child to ensure the child is happy and comfortable. The key worker will ensure all staff are aware of your child’s needs and interests and will build on their relationship with your child.
  • How do I know my child is safe in your setting?
    We follow safer recruitment guidelines and all staff are DBS checked before they can attend our setting. We have a robust induction process to ensure all staff are aware of the expectations within our nurseries. All staff are trained in safeguarding and know how to refer and whistle blow. The nursery and the outdoor areas are maintained and the safety of the area is checked daily.
  • Who will take care of my child?
    We have experienced and qualified staff that will care for your child. Each child will be allocated a key person who will liaise with you fully. Our staff are appointed following government guidelines regarding ratio; The staff: child ratios for under 2’s is 1:3, 2-year-olds is 1:4 and 3 & 4-year-olds is 1:8.
  • Where will my child sleep?
    We have cots for our younger children and sleep mats for the older ones. Each child has their own individual sheet which is laundered weekly.
  • What will my child eat?
    We have our very own nursery chef, who prepares snacks, home cooked meals and high tea. We have a varied and nutritious menu that rotates every 4 weeks.
  • Do you take the children out of the nursery?
    We will take children out of the nursery to visit the local library, parish council or swimming pool. We often take our little ones on local walks too. Parents will be asked for their permission on registration. We ensure we can manage safety whilst on walks and outings and these are risk assessed beforehand.
  • Do you have any extra-curricular activities and do I pay for these?
    We aim to invite at least one outside company into the nursery per term to offer specialist activities such as dance, football, Spanish etc. Some activities will be free of charge others will have a small charge.
  • What should I bring to Nursery?
    We recommend as a minimum: Several spare sets of clothes – Just in case! Nappies/wipes Bottles/milk Sun cream and outdoor clothing Indoor/outdoor footwear
  • What if my child has an accident at Nursery?
    If your child has an accident in our care, rest assured we have first aid qualified staff members present always. If it is not a serious accident, we will fill out an accident form and update you as soon as possible. If the accident is more severe, then we will contact you immediately to let you know what has happened and the actions that we have taken. It maybe appropriate to organise an early collection with you or, in extremely rare cases, to organise a visit to the hospital however this will be communicated to you.
  • Do you accept 30 hours funded places?
    Yes we do. We have 26 places available in our inventors room. You can use 30 hours each week during term time only (38 weeks) alternatively you can stretch your funding to use 24 hours per week over 47.5 week of the year. You can top these hours up with private hours which we will invoice you monthly for if you need more.
  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.
